From 14 to 20 May 2018, KAZGUU Business School students took part in an international internship in the city of Kazan, Tatarstan. The internship was focused on a very relevant topic: “Digital Economy: Challenges and Trends”. The programme is aimed at improving the students’ professional competencies that are necessary for professional work in their field of studies.
The Business School students appreciated the practical component of the internship programme, which enabled them to learn about a number of leading enterprises and organisations in the Republic of Tatarstan. As part of the internship, the students visited the Danon plant, the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Industrial Park M7, Chimgrad, Innopolis, and the IT park. The theoretical part of the programme was held in one of Russia’s oldest and largest universities – Kazan (Privolzhsky) Federal University.
Within the programme, the students learned about the ways of managing a company using the Agile method, the modern forms and methods of planning in organisations and their applications, building organisational management structures, HR management, and knowledge management in the conditions of organisational change. Both practical and theoretical parts of the programme employed such methods as case study and games.
As the students noted, one of the positive aspects of the internship was the experience exchange and networking opportunities.
Upon successfully completing the programme, the students were awarded certificates.
