KAZGUU Business School was founded in 2009 as the Center for MBA.
KAZGUU MBA program became the first full MBA program in Astana market with a focus for preparing top managers for oil and gas national companies and then objective diversified. Every year we accept students who are very diverse in their professional backgrounds: private entrepreneurs, top managers of the national companies, bank employees, heads of railway enterprises, financiers, and engineers are among our students.
In 2013 MBA Center was renamed to KAZGUU Business School.
In 2011 entered the Association of Management Development in Central and Eastern Europe CEEMAN. Since 2009 all programs were implemented in Russian languages with elective courses in English and in 2018 the first full MBA program launched.
The school received the state licenses for educational activities in the following program (before, the program were realized by the approval of the Ministry of Education):
January 13, 2014, Master of Business Administration;
May 13, 2014, Doctor of Business Administration.
On April 18, 2014, the Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Kazakh Humanities and Law University and the University of Business and International Studies (UBIS). After the official strengthening of communication between partners, the students of the Business School annually pass an international internship in Geneva. The internship program is developed individually for each group of trainees, includes practical courses, presentations, provides visits to leading organizations and top companies, as well as the UN and WTO.
In 2017, the first 11 doctoral students graduated from the DBA program. The total number of MBA graduates by 2018 had been 327.
